British winters are not as frosty as in Russia, but definitely island vacations do not belong to the warm. This is one of the important factors affecting the health of their residents. Experts are of the opinion that it would be sufficient to build warmer homes in the UK to avoid excessive spending on health care.
Anyone who has spent the winter in the UK knows that it is a nuisance not only because of the frosts, the cold and the humidity, which unfortunately penetrate our homes and dwellings. This is the cause of serious illness among the islanders.
Experts say that during the British winters the mortality rate in this country is quite high. Since the beginning of statistics, since 1950, as many as 2.6 million people have died as a result of complications related to excessive cooling of the body in the winter.
At the turn of 2014/15, 43,900 people died and this number was recorded since 1999/2000. In the year 2015/16, this number decreased to 24,300. According to official statistics, these deaths are due mainly to lung diseases, especially among people over the age of 70.
Experts are alarmed that homes and homes with temperatures around 16 degrees Celsius are particularly hazardous to their health, and their residents are most likely to die of lung disease.
